Between August 2022-May 2023 I have undertook the full time position as Station Manager of Leeds Student Radio.

Mentorship scheme
This year I have introduced a mentorship scheme to Leeds Student Radio. This has involved pairing up our members with industry professionals who can offer advice, guidance and feedback.
Under this mentorship scheme I have also partnered up new members to the station with more experienced members. This has helped to nurture new talent and allow more reticent individuals to realise their potential and fully engage in our radio station.
I have also organized various workshops and talks with industry professionals who have offered guidance on breaking into the industry, how to produce a radio show and how to create a news bulletin to name few.
In 2023 I am planning a Networking Weekend which will bring together alumni, mentors, members and industry professionals. Various panels will run across the weekend including the opportunity to chat 1-1 with our speakers. This will be a ideal opportunity for our members to connect with the industry they are so keen to enter.
I am keen to constantly drive innovation and progress during my tenor as Station Manager. To that end I have spearheaded various projects:
- Installation of updated equipment to maintain LSR's high quality output
- Introduction of new shows to encourage inclusion including 'Safe Space', a show devoted to celebrating neurodiversity and mental health and reduce the stigma which surrounds it
- Creation of on-air challenges to engage presenters and listeners including the LSR Campus Duck Hunt, LSR's 12 Days of Christmas challenge and LSR's climate week challenge.
- Introduction of an Early Breakfast show to meet demand for time on-air bringing LSR's total live output to 18 Hours per day.
- Produced various Outside Broadcasts including from Leeds Festival and multiple public spaces around Leeds. Have successfully troubleshooted when problems arise to ensure a seamless broadcast.
- Edit audio using Audacity and Adobe Audition to a high quality.
- Successfully produced the Student Radio Chart show on short notice which was broadcast across the country and positively received.
- Understanding of audio equipment, mixing desks and various software.
